KCTV5 reports an apartment building in Kansas City, MO. is being sealed off Saturday night, and a source close to KCTV5 says it's because a person who lives there is sick with something contagious. Police at the apartment building told KCTV5 that all or part of the medical facility the person was taken to is now quarantined as well. The person was taken to Rockhill Research Hospital. No one at the hospital will confirm what the person has at this time. We'll continue to follow this developing story, and bring you updates as we get them.

This is an unusual report, and not just due to the information that has not been released.

- They've immediately sealed off an entire apartment building due to an illness of one resident.

- That illness is contagious.

- This resident was taken to a research hospital.

- This research hospital is now partially or completely quarantined.

So, the apparent meaning of all this, barring some bizarre miscommunication on the part of KCTV would be: whatever it is, it's highly contagious; it's unusual; and unnamed authorities have wasted absolutely no time in shutting down every place where this individual has been located for any length of time.

... and, no “Rockhill Research Hospital” turns up at all in a Google search.
