Scouter's Ebola Projection Update - 10/4/2014 - (Vanity)
To: Vendome; scouter My wife just flew into Newark from Brussels. Been waiting on the plane for 1 1/2 hours now to deplane. Medical emergency onboard with a passenger vomiting.
They have to wait for the CDC to come interview the person before they can leave.
Consider travel plans carefully.

Bttt
I read up on it and found that ELISA tests aren’t very reliable. The PCR tests are the way to go, but they take a few hours to do. It’s been a while since I’ve been in the research field, but this has made me interested in going back.
Here’s where i found some layman information about it.

Thanks
Cant help but think payback time for whitey. Enslave Africans back in the day, now its your turn to suffer and die. O and his people just fine with it
It depends on what you are testing for, the environmental conditions, conditions of the reagent, etc.
Quick results for some Virus are reliable 99% of the time. Meaning a false positive is more likely to need more extensive testing. HIV results are available in 20 minutes.
A more complicated less studied Virus would most likely need more time.
That said - if “they” can test in for this in such a short period of time, why are the results not yet available for Wash. D.C. And Maryland - or did I miss that?
“Just tried calling. She couldn’t talk. They’re not supposed to take / make calls.”
It is called information control or what cold war Americans used to call Russian propaganda control.
The scary answer is the CDC has probably seen hundreds of Liberians with Ebola here in America and this guy really DIDN’T behave like the rest.
OMGod,Prayers.
I missed the results on those, too.
The only thing that I could think of is if the guy has no fever. If he had no fever then would that rule out Ebola?
You’re right. If the guy who came here after exposure to Ebola gets free treatment and “rights”, we’ll make things worse by attracting the infected.
Use the White Hut as a field hospital.
I read here yesterday Ibuprofen can bring down the fever, for a false negative. If you were Liberian and zero had invited your whole country in, you would do anything required to avoid detection.
My computer models say that Global warming is causing this outbreak of ebola
I would think it is a valid regulation, there are signs all over the place in the concourse. The air crews warn also before arriving at the gate. People ignore it though.
“Wow... they must have developed an instant testing kit.”
No fever = No ebola. The Ibuprofin pass.
It’s no big deal really. Don’t we all see black Africans vomiting in the plane when returning from Europe?
Those Liberians just aren’t used to rapid descent like we are, the sissies /s
Ditto !
