ISIS Beheads Another British Hostage, Threatens Former U.S. Army Ranger

ISIS released yet another video on Friday apparently showing the beheading of a British aid worker, Alan Henning, according to the Associated Press.

Henning was kidnapped in December 2013 while in Syria with an aid group bringing food and water to the nation’s many refugees. He was abducted by masked gunman the day after Christmas, according to other volunteers.

The video’s authenticity hasn’t yet been verified, but it is similar to previous beheading videos from the group. Like in previous videos, the masked jihadi blamed Western forces fighting ISIS for the execution.

CAIRO (AP) — An Internet video released Friday purports to show an Islamic State group fighter beheading British hostage Alan Henning and threatening yet another American captive, the fourth such killing carried out by the extremist group now targeted in U.S.-led airstrikes.

The video mirrored other beheading videos shot by the Islamic State group, which now holds territory along the border of Syria and Iraq. It ended with an Islamic State fighter threatening a man they identified as an American named Peter Kassig.

"Obama, you have started your aerial bombardment of Shams (Syria), which keeps on striking our people, so it is only right that we continue to strike the neck of your people," the masked militant said.

I am familiar with the realities of combat operations, and running around with a bunch of trigger happy goofs who are in it for the money is a fast way to wind up with an empty bank account in the few days of life you have left.

Back when, I.E. 1974, in Jacksonville, NC, there were a good many people who would be getting discharged, soon, getting recruited. The "official" job description was as "pipeline guards" in the Middle East. The ones that followed that road far enough ended up in in Angola with the FNLA. At least one American was executed by the Cubans.

As I understand the law, US citizens are barred from enlisting in a foreign army, and working as mercenaries for foreign companies. Naturally, when the CIA approves, these laws fade away.

When will strong action be taken against these savages?

As with everything else, Obama will only take decisive action when and if it presents a political payoff for him. Right now, he has no incentive to destroy ISIS, regardless of what words he uses during speeches. Right now, he's only interested in doing the absolute minimum vs. ISIS to get that story off the front pages. The only issues Obama wants at the media forefront are "paycheck inequality" and "climate change." As for the Ebola outbreak, it will be carefully managed into a full-scale crisis in order for Obama to appear decisive in time for the November elections.

I hear they do these mock executions over and over again and the victim doesn’t know which time is real...at a point, I guess you just think it’s another mock one....that’s the one they show. Not the defiant one or the panic one....
