I strongly advise staying with the 6. It is the classic, bulletproof XK120 engine. With all the other things to worry about you will never worry about the engine. There are lots of Xj6es around from the mid 90s that are gorgeous and amazingly affordable. (They terrify people...)

they don't change the oil, just change the filter often. Comments? True/false? They change the oil. That's why there are 55 gallon drums of 15w40 diesel available.

engine oil and antifreeze are now one and the same; you can see a strawberry milkshake when you look inside your radiator cap That sounds like ATF (red colored) from a leaking tranny cooler. Water in engine oil makes a nasty tan slime on the dipstick.
