I’ll bet he bought the story that Ebola is not airborne.

Yeah GG2...something fishy going on here. You certainly wouldn't think that persons who know this virus is deadly would continue to be careless about direct physical contact with body fluids.

Why would anyone want to come to America with our horrible health care? I thought the England had all the answers.

And we do NOT want to be a plague magnet, sorry.

I disagree. Any human with ebola should be welcomed in America for treatment. CAVEAT: You cannot take air travel. You must arrive by tramp steamer at about 5kts travel speed over open ocean.

There were several stories at the time that said this. However, in researching what is out there now, it seems that under the Compassion rules that allowed them to test the formerly untested drugs on humans, they are not allowed to charge for it. There were still indications that bringing each of the patients here safely and arranging isolation care cost in about the same range.

I know that I never heard that the Christian missionaries paid a million dollars for the experimental drug.

Thanks for responding.

Will NBC pick up the tab or will it be the American taxpayer?

The first stories were that everything was paid for by Samaritan’s Purse. I will have to continue looking as paying for the drug is one of those things that is “common knowledge” now.

Yes, the Christian missionary organization took care of it’s people, but I never heard of any million dollar purchase of a cure medicine.

Do you mean this?

“The operations to bring the two American aid workers back to the USA cost about $2 million, Johnson said. SIM USA’s tab is approaching $1 million, and Samaritan’s Purse has paid more than $1 million, hoping to recoup some of that in insurance, he said.”
