In the photo, a quarantined family member is bringing in supplies left at the apartment door by Red Cross volunteers.
More… The media also released these shocking photos today:
WFAA image of individuals pressure washing Mr. Duncan’s ebola laced vomit from the pavement/sidewalk. The men are not wearing any biohazard protective clothing or gear and there is a woman walking through the liquid in the parking lot wearing sandles. (wtd)
Here’s another photo of the unprotected worker cleaning up Ebola vomit on the sidewalk with a power washer.
A worker power washes the sidewalk in front of the apartment unit at The Ivy Apartments where a man diagnosed with the Ebola virus was staying in Dallas, Texas October 2, 2014. Up to 100 people may have had direct or indirect contact with the first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States, and four people have been quarantined in a Dallas apartment, health officials said on Thursday. Did you see the three shows on Ebola that the History 2 channel aired last week? I think CNN also aired them. I only saw one and the reporter was all over the ick in Africa. Healthcare workers kept shooing him away but, you know, reporters have to shove their way to be front and center. One PPC garbed healthcare worker was spraying all around the reporter’s feet and the guy was oblivious. He and his camera crew even hopped a ride on the dead body truck. The dead body folks were in their suits. I’ve been waiting to hear if he and his crew would bring it back. Maybe so, huh?
I guess he was reading the ‘kissing the dead bodies’ propaganda and believed it.
Quarantine - What Quarantine?? From article on Drudge and where is this daughter. Shouldn’t she be included?
“Mr. Jallah left to go to work, but returned the next day after his daughter, who lives with Ms. Troh, called, sounding frantic, saying that Mr. Duncan was still ill.
When I went back, the man was sitting on the bed. He was drinking coffee or tea. My daughter said lets call 911, he still doesnt have an appetite, Mr. Jallah recounted”
Where are those illegal Mexicans when you need them?
No, the I am not typically antigovernment but they have screwed this up. How the heck do you think doctors in full ebola gear get ebola?
I won’t post anymore to you about this but you need to up your research and think in common sense terms. CDC website on ebola easy to find - here is your link. And when it says not spread by water I don’t think they mean ebola vomit mixed with water.
http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/transmission/
The guy with the power washer probably got his instructions from the CDD...Center for Disease Dispersal.
You don't know that. Nobody knows that.
But I think what is concerning for many is that “untypical” case where it was spread otherwise. People listening to the authorities and reports see that there are no “absolutes” with Ebola, except the potential to die, and that pretty quickly,..... so without those, and until there is, people are going to be suspicious of what they're being told.
I don't know what the solution for this is as for communicating to the public that will keep the calm needed to contain this beast.......but neither the CDC nor the Gov. (especially this administration!), are really giving evidence they should be believed....this thread and photos are an example.
That little kid in the downstairs apt. is in a lot of the news photos and usually has his fingers in his mouth. You know at some point he trotted through the vomit.
What did he do? Lick her?
could be she was burning up and sweaty and then he rubbed his face or open wound....or could be airborn. Nah, I’m sure the CDC would tell us if that was the case.
Ebola can live two days on a hard surface.
This is insanity. The CDC should have taken over the area.
Actually, I do. Ebola is only contagious when symptomatic.
The EPA outlawed using bleach to clean public areas like parking lots as it’s toxic to insects and plants, and could be washed into ground water. It’s just way too dangerous to use.
probably.
"prolly is NOT an English word.
Do you want people reading this to think we are illiterate idiots?
Actually that is not known.
...”He and his camera crew even hopped a ride on the dead body truck”....
Yep, I saw that....and them walking by bodies laying in the street too. Next Obama will be pulling reporters out of Hot Zones...and they’ll be coming here to be sure.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t have a license plate. So no one will panic if they brush against it in a parking lot.
Assessment of the Risk of Ebola Virus Transmission from Bodily Fluids and Fomites
"....the shedding of EBOV in saliva corresponded almost exactly to the period of viremia,..."
IOW the period in which the virus enters the blood stream and migrates throughout the body.
It looks to me like that is a plastic bottle of Mt. Dew on the pavement just feet from where they are powerwashing. Take a look. Someone set their drink down and probably drank from it.
That is basically true because the guy will get a fever when there is a enough virus being created in the blood vessels to get into other bodily secretions and of course any expelled blood.
