Here’s another photo of the unprotected worker cleaning up Ebola vomit on the sidewalk with a power washer.

Not. Even. Gloves.

It is as posted above. Their cultural background simply doesn’t allow them to comprehend the severity.

Ain’t diversity grand?

I worked with welfare & food stamp recipients at the unemployment office teaching them to look for work (not by choice, I was periodically transferred from helping veterans) and I made about $30,000 a year and my “gold-plated” pension sucked s***.

The handling of this is so effed up. It will a miracle if there isn’t a full outbreak in Dallas.

Actually we don’t know from the report that the bloke with the pressure washer didn’t pour bleach or some other strong chemical

The EPA outlawed using bleach to clean public areas like parking lots as it's toxic to insects and plants, and could be washed into ground water. It's just way too dangerous to use.

Downstream is the already icky Trinity River which runs through the middle of Dallas. Or here’s this:

Every epidemiologist knows that Kangol hats protect against ebola and other contagious diseases.

Actually we don’t know from the report that the bloke with the pressure washer didn’t pour bleach or some other strong chemical that would have had a virucidal effect on the vomit before using the pressure washer.

They're in street clothes, their pants legs are soaked and there's no evidence of anything but a pressure washer connected to a water hose. Well, other than the Mt. Dew bottle sitting on the ground where it could get sprayed.

Those two were exposed to ebola if it survived in the vomit on the sidewalk, no way around it.

A doc on Cavuto’s show today said if one stepped in Duncan’s vomit they would get ebola. Also, Duncan contaminants could be all over the house and a kid touching it. I read the article, reporter, who was told while in whatever country not to touch anyone, not to touch anything. They had bleach solution set up outside all buildings to wash before entering.
I do not buy the government’s crap on this.

It is VERY hard to believe that we are going to live Ebola clean up to the relatives - and with no training or anything. I guess it isn’t like in the movies where four white vans show up and guys in had-mat suits hop out.

“Oh yeah - Ebola vomit? Get a pressure washer. Keep your receipt and submit it to CDC-SCREWED.com and we will reimburse you.”

Iowa, about halfway up the pay scale. Now in Illinois, California, New York or Maryland your statement would be very spot-on. The poor saps in New Mexico and Mississippi make just above minimum wage and many qualify for food stamps themselves!

It’s spread through body fluids. Vomit isn’t a body fluid?

This guy caught it from carrying an infected woman around. What did he do? Lick her?

Ebola is a blood-borne pathogen, which means that non-blood derived fluids are unlikely to contain virus. One study showed that vomit from one infected patient did not contain virus. If the vomit does not contain blood, it probably is not infectious--on the other hand, you cannot be sure it is blood free.

He touched her with bare hands. Late in the disease, especially if the victim has the hemorrhagic form, the skin is saturated with virus. Most people have little tiny cuts all over; one tiny cut is sufficient for the virus to gain entry. Physical contact with Ebola patients is a well-known risk factor.
