Obviously it is for some since you ignored everything else I said. Whatever. Roberts may well win in the end. Cochran will win. McConnell will win and be the next majority leader. Graham will win. Alexander will win. Nothing will change. In 2016 they'll do it all over again and you can support Murkowski and McCain and Rubio and Grassley and all the rest.
Of course nothing is going to change for the next two years even if the GOP wins a smashing victory this November.
BHO is still POTUS for the next two years. He can still veto anything he doesn’t like or doesn’t want. And I fully expect him to do just that. Stalemate is the best we can hope for right now.
But EVERY election is important. In 2006 the Dems scored a significant victory in the midterm election, taking control of both houses of Congress, which led to an even bigger victory for them in 2008 when the elected their POTUS and increased their margins in both houses of Congress which in turn gave them the support and votes they needed to push through their aggressive domestic agenda which of course included Obamacare.
That is why this midterm is critically important. We have to work with what we have. There is nothing perfect in politics.
