The circle of people who have come into contact with Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan is rapidly expanding, jumping from 18 to 80 early today and then leaping to 100, according to Texas health officials.

I think the risk would be pretty low, but it wouldn't be zero, so out of an abundance of caution I think you should assume you were exposed and go under medical observation.
And the MSM can’t seem to spread the word (or the panic) fast enough.
Looking like the October Surprise here, people.
He KNEW he was EXPOSED.
People around him were DYING DAILY.
He KNEW there was NO ROOM at his LOCAL hospital.
He KNEW that IF he stayed THERE he would DIE.
He KNEW that the AMERICANS who were treated HERE LIVED.
He knowingly and willingly FLED his INFECTED SELF to the USA for TREATMENT.
We are now facing flesh-and-blood “EBOLA BOMBS” as people who KNOW they are incubation disease FLEE to US for treatment.
IF we don’t SHUT DOWN travel to the US from infected countries, it will be EVERYWHERE soon.
Dogs cannot catch ebola - there was a study done of dogs in the country of Gabon during an outbreak who were in close contact with victims and not one had any evidence of infection. I'm not aware of any studies involving cats, but certainly there's no evidence that cats can contract the disease.
This is Ebola. It's different. Pretty soon heads will be exploding, like in the 1970s movie Scanners.
You have a greater risk of dying in your bathtub before you die of Ebola.
Just to be sure at my age, I get vaccinated against the flu. Its never too late to play it safe.
And obama said is was unlikely to come here to America. That is until he started shipping them here and not stopping flights from the countries with the infected people.
I expect all those thousands of soldiers obama sent to Africa are really nervous being around ebola infected people.
The soldiers will come back to the US and who knows if they will be infected.
Thanks.
Currently the word 'airborne' is being misused much like the word 'evolution'.
A more descriptive term is 'aerosolized'.
Ebola is airborne (currently) when it travels in body fluids ejected from the host. (sweating, sneezing, coughing). It can only survive about 4 hours and can't travel far.
To be classified as 'aerosolized' it has to be in small enough particles to float on the air , and does not need bodily fluids to 'carry' it.
At the moment, if you live in the United States you have a greater likelihood of being killed by anything than Ebola. Because it hasn't killed anybody. You should be more worried about bear attacks, lightning strikes, and being drowned by a shopping cart.
Oh, you mean like EVD-68, Chikungunya, Dengue Fever ?
How are they doing on 'dealing' with those diseases ?
After you see this map, look down to the recent incidents, then to the breakdown by disease. Do they have it all under control?
“Health workers are used to dealing with plenty of diseases far more infectious than Ebola.”
Maybe, but none as deadly as Ebola. A screw up with the flu make you sick for a few days, a screw up with the big E makes you dead
I'm not saying that Ebola won't be a big problem.
However, EVD-68, Chikungunya, and Dengue Fever are flooding the U.S.
EVD-68 has already hit at least 40 states.
Wouldn't that make it airborne?! I'm not trying to be difficult. I'm concerned and curious.
Wrong. Over 35% of the dogs in the infected Ebola areas test positive for the virus.
You are making up this up to make your boss happy.
Dogs, casts, bats, and many other mammals can transmit this disease through their bites or by consuming their flesh
They need to not only watch for symptoms.
They need to limit their contact with others and record the names and contact information of anyone they do come in contact with.
Thank you for clearing that up for me!
Keep believing that. Would you sit next to him on a flight?
Hadn't heard that. Carnivores only?
