agreed fully. its just that when the alternative is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad, treasonous (but can an illegal alien foreign agent be prosecuted for treason?)
if the D alternative was just almost any regular type of D, ranging anywhere from HST to JFK to even LBJ alas, I would stay home
as you suggest
extreme times make for difficult choices. my choice if the candidate is another enemy foreign agent type... is to vote for whatever R candidate is run against him...........even tho I may have to hold my nose doing it
just my 2 cents worth. take or flush it as you wish.
I can’t really hope to convince anybody of this viewpoint, given the very disappointing R candidates of recent times
I do understand
Thank you.

There's a slight problem here — the alternative
implies a binary choice, but there's more than just Democrat to vote for.
(but can an illegal alien foreign agent be prosecuted for treason?)
Perhaps; the definition says:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. It makes no mention of the person's nationality, allegiance, citizenship, etc.

Excuse me, but I've not suggested staying at home – anywhere.
I want people voting; but I don't want them voting "because the other guy's worse" — they should vote for somebody.
(Even if that person has no chance of winning
, vote for someone.)
Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.— John Quincy Adams

And there's where we break off; I will never vote while holding my nose
again. I did that in 2008 and, to my shame, voted for McCain — I promised myself I would never again hold my nose
and when 2012 came around that promise saved me from the shame of voting Romney.

Aye — the recent Republican party actions are, quite frankly, despicable and show the party to be of negative worth when it comes to most of the party's planks.
Now why can’t the GOP Party Loyalists sound like that instead of joining McConnell and Boehner and the Ruling Class in waging war against Conservatives who will no longer compromise and abandon principles to vote for a person who is decidedly NOT a Conservative?
Thanks for that.
Such discourse engenders an acceptance of the conscious decision each of us has to make without belittling and insulting those who will not betray their principles to vote (or not vote) for those who are running for office with a certain letter after their name.
Sadly, some think that “admonishment” and ridicule and outright threats can convince or shame others into voting for the party candidate they support.
You have demonstrated a better way that does not divide and alienate.
