NATIONAL REVIEW
SEPTEMBER 30, 2014 12:34 PM
God save us from self-professed "conservatives" who will announce they'll stay home on Election Day as a demonstration of their power.
Because as we all know, you become more influential in politics and government and public life by staying home and doing less.
....
Does the "I'm staying home" crowd apply this to everything in life? "I don't like the way the company is run, so I'm not going to work."
"Honey, I'm just not happy with your performance as a spouse, so I'm going to be less active in the marriage until you improve."
"Kids, I'm disappointed with your performance in school. Until you improve, I'm ignoring you."
The thing is, I wonder how often the "I'm staying home this year" crowd voted before. In fact, I wonder if they ever vote.
I don't understand the "I've never been more fearful for the future of this country, but I'm not willing to do anything about it" mentality.
Ronald Reagan is not walking through that door, folks.

I want to thank you as well for taking the time to write and post that. I started here in Sep 2004 so you filled in some interesting history. From what I can see, conservatives are hanging tough so I’m hopeful, and encouraged.
Good post.
And the latest gang of liberal GOP crapweasels will get the zot leading up to the 2016 convention.
bright spot. Our next Maine congressman

Mass Citizens for Life has some bright young talent.
In CT, sad reality is in the way. There is no way to get around the gerrymandering that DEM Donovan did with GOP Cafero on the House seats. They made a dozen DEM incumbents safe in return for making a dozen RINOs safe ... and sold a bunch of Reaganite challengers down the river.
A young 28-year old whiz dynamo from Durham got 49% and proceeded to have the seat split up 5 ways and little Durham split in two. He’s toast, cuz his base was his old district and they cannot vote for him even if he runs. Multiply that times 10 other such candidates.
I have no qualms that the CT money-GOP inside crowd is far more ruthless and sleezy than people here claim.
these people swarm to vote in primaries ...

And there is no sense going up against them if our leaders are a bunch of Girlie-Priests.

Daly got so fed up with Obama, he stayed home in NOV ‘12.
Some of them have been at it full throated for years.
Still here.

“Crybabies who have temper tantrums and stay home or throw their vote away (remember Perot?) give us the clintons obozos and may soon give us hitlery.”
Perot gave us the Clintons. Please. That’s revisionist history.
GHWB and GW are of the same ilk and seen themselves as masters of puppets. Father and his sacred cows were working against constitutional conservatism cutting Reagan at the knees at every opportunity just as GW and his consultants (many of his fathers old guard) did the same. They, effectively, destroyed Newt in 96, thereby removing the last remaining vestige of constitutional governance (enter John Boehner and the Rove commision). Newt and his allies represented the last line of defense and semblance to Reagan (moreso the founders). They forced Clintons reluctant move and tempered Hillarycare. Naturally, when they were gone another Bush was waiting in the wings. With the Presidency and both houses of Congress, the Republicans expanded executive and legislative powers (some of those being used against us today), along with dangerous spending. There isnt a single rollback of the liberal advancement that can be attributed to either Bush, both card carrying members of the old Rockefeller wing. They did the job of the democrats, since the difference between the two ideolgies arent many. They, the Statists, destroyed the party and ushered in this current, insidious rebirth of marxism coupled with cronyism.
Now, many republicans have adopted the strategy of lying about their conservatism when voters are awake (primary/election season) and retreating to their Statist governance when the drones go back to sleep.(Hello Mitt, Thad, Mitch, Boehner, Lamar, Graham, fill in the blanks) Not so coincidentally, another Bush and/or more “Statists” are being funded and pushed...Why? Because its the only formula that works against conservatism until the trough goes empty.
Make no mistake, both parties (especially at the federal level) with the exception of a few brave patriots are aiming for fundamental transformation, but neither is based on the adherence to the Constitution.
Count me as one who will no longer be deceived....as Proverbs states - As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.
“He’s harshing my buzz.”
I suppose professionals gotta earn a living too.
Barf.
At least we got all the ‘conscientious protesters’ or PLEASE KEEP HARRY REID IN CONTROL OF THE SENATE louses corralled on one thread.
Thank God your mouths and votes are like homos: 2% of the population but 55% of the NOISE.
Excellent post.
President Romney would beg to differ about that number.
If there was one. Which there isn’t.
Because Voting Mitt once was a mistake. Conservatives do not vote for liberals. Especially again. They got their mulligan last election.
Join us or lose again. Your call sport. We aren’t budging.
That’s an excellent history of what has gone on here. We lost a lot of excellent freepers during the Bush Purges.
We also lost a lot that got sick of liberals demanding GOPe liberalism that just self deported as well.
Ugly truth, but still the truth.
and your source for that is?
Faggot? Really? Faggot?
I’ll take care of that for you.
I would but I’m in the closet at the moment ;)
Naw, idiot was probably the better term. I apologize.
With any justice he’ll get his own closet for awhile.
