I am old enough to recall what trash day was like before the advent of plastic bags.

A smelly, oozing, fermenting, unsanitary mess.

Plastic bags have made one of the single greatest contributions to public health in this country.

I am old enough to remember a trash incinerator in my Grandma’s backyard in Los Angeles.

Yep. I used them to wrap dirty diapers when I was out and about when the kids were babies.

They are great for picking up after fido, too.

When I was a kid anything bio-degradable went into the compost. We went to refill glass milk bottles. After we had moved out of the city district, everything else we burned.

Plastic trash bags will still be around. This only counts for the bags the grocery stores put your groceries in.
