The mother of a 20-year-old woman who disappeared in 2009 from Charlottesville, Virginia and later found dead in says her daughter's death is linked forensically with the man now suspected of abducting 18-year-old Hannah Graham.
That man is Jesse Matthew Jr. Now Gil Harrington, mother of slain Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington, told NBC Washington that Virginia authorities believe he may have been involved in both crimes.
Or perhaps even more crimes. Graham is one of five young women to have disappeared from the Charlottesville area in the past five years within a few minutes' drive of the same Route 29 highway.

Animal !

Sketch Guy looks much, much older.
And 2005 was nearly 10 years ago.
How old is Jesse?
See #43
32
Matthew is reportedly 32 at present, so 23 in 2005. Based on other photos, he has put on a lot of baby fat in recent years. You seem awfully determined for the sketch not to match.
You do realize that police sketches are “composites” of what one or many people say a suspect looks like. Very few of us could describe a complete stranger to another complete stranger and have them sketch an exact likeness of that stranger.
Those sketches are never 100% accurate. It is hard for victims to sit down and totally remember all features.
DNA means much more than a sketch.
Yes, what’s up with that? Although the sketch does resemble my uncle and he lives in Hughesville. So be careful Silvie.
I’ve been following the Morgan Harrington case since she disappeared from the Metallica concert. I’ve invested time reading everything that has to do with this case. So, yes, I’m being careful. Trust me, I for one want her killer caught. I’ve even looked at people in years past that resemble the sketch... my local radio station (WMAL) has FBI Updates and once in a while they’ll update us on the Harrington case.
Take the time to read, when you can, the location where Morgan was found. Try to wrap around your head how on Earth any human being, including this Animal, could have deposited her body where it was found. They did an episode of Investigation Discovery’s “Disappeared” about this case.
DNA doesn’t lie — so if it’s him, it’s him.
Oh and also - have the police interviewed the victim from the 2005 attack from Fairfax, Va. who was assaulted and the DNA she had matched the DNA found in Morgan Harrington? She’d probably recognize Jesse in an instant.
Big-Ass Lips & All...
this creep had been accused of rape previously and it was never pursued because it was a he said she said scenario...NOW do people understand why women don't go to the cops in most cases of rape....they're never believed nor trusted until a string of murders comes along..
This linked story just has a short synopsis of the Harrington case—saying she was found at a remote farm. I figure all farms are remote.
True.
But there were a series of fences that the suspect had to climb, with a dead body, uphill, and forensics and police are still wondering how it could have been done. It was determined that Morgan was already dead and had been moved to that location. Law enforcement has stated that it took a lot of thought and precision.
The owner of the land found the body in January 2010, after a grand blizzard had come & gone.
I see. Thanks for the additional info.
This suspect is an orderly at a hospital whose job it is to lift and move people all the time. He has a football and wrestling background and is a volunteer football coach at a school in Charlottesville. In other words, he is quite physically strong and capable of carrying heavy/dead weight.
Understood.
And I also understand and acknowledge that the DNA will prove everything.
I, however, don’t think that Jesse Matthew has the mental capacity to think like a serial killer the likes of whom would dispose of Morgan Harrington in the way that he did.
Also, he was all over electronic surveillance at UVA the night Hannah disappeared — also perplexing given that I’d had thought someone who’d gone to the lengths to murder and dispose of Morgan Harrington would be much more aware of these things.
In my mind, and throughout the past 4 years, I thought that Morgan’s killer was a very precise & concise individual. Turns out he’s just a guy galavanting (sp?) in awkward drunkedness (sp?) across a Campus Main, with no regard for the cameras.
How sad for everyone involved.
Can you imagine how horrible the Harrington family must feel? What if this nursing assistant helped them at any point in the past 4 years at the clinic where he was employed at?
Bizarre and truly nauseating.
