In that town there is another non-campus newspaper (the Alligator is purportedly independent from UofFL), named the
“Iguana” which is a counter/subculture rag of primarily queers (male and female), and environmental greenies (reds) in a city/county controlled by a cabal of liberal venture socialists who love obamaumao and all forms of govt. coercion.
So, the sub culture loves Crist, who is well known as one of them, and hence goes a long way to explaining his facile self serving changes. Gifted to FL as a protege of JEB Bush, good statist progressive (”there’s nothing wrong with sexual orientation behaviour”.... it’s all good).
crist is counting on the pothead vote as an ambulance chasing payoff to his law firm buddies.
