Fugitive gunman Eric Frein has again evaded the massive police dragnet that has now been hunting him for 16 days as he ran into woods after being spotted in the Pocono Mountains.

Frein, 31, wanted for murdering one state trooper and critically injuring another, managed to flee, although MailOnline understands they have a jacket that he left behind.

Frein, who is on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted List, was seen just outside the perimeter of the five-square-mile search area that up to 1,000 cops are manning at any one time.

The sighting led to a huge shift southwards as heavily armed cops were forced to rethink their tactics in their frustrating task of finding the expert woodsman...

I think so also. It seems like a pretty big tell to me as well. I have been following the antics in the Poconos off and on since it started. I also came across a news reference that Frein lived in the same neighborhood as one of the cops who was shot. It may have been the one who was wounded. but I am not sure. All I remember is the news source promptly denied there was a connection but now I can't find it again. Its like it was “disappeared”.

The subject seems to resemble Lt. Dorner in his run versus the LAPD. And the identity of the subject has not yet been confirmed by fingerprints or DNA. Lt. Dorner did not threaten non LEOs and the unknown subject has not threatened non LEOs.
If Mr. Frein has had as much training as has been claimed, why would he breach opsec by a cell phone call that can be traced actively or passively? It is claimed that Mr. Frein is familiar with computers. Now Mr. Frein is claimed to A ‘jacket’ even with DNA on it does not prove he is the fugitive or the shooter. Mr. Frein may have built a bunker, as have many people in the area.
The story line involving a relationship between one of the officers and a sister in law of Mr. Frein seems to be abandoned for now.
No manifesto has shown up, even with access to the computer of Mr.Frein.
Does Mr. Frein have friends in the area?

Dorner did not threaten non LEOs and the unknown subject has not threatened non LEOs.

While Dorner did not threaten non LEOs, that did not stop the LEOs from shooting the shit out of every vehicle they encountered. That they did not kill any number of people was due to the Grace of God, because surely tried with all their might.

I wouldn’t assume his disregard for life extends to “non LEO” personnel. Depending on the substance of his grudge, he might have a lot of sympathizers in the area and he’s probably not stupid enough to overdraw that account if it’s there.
