it takes 1.7 seconds for a man to cover 7m and stab me with a knife. as a ccw individual i am aware what constitutes a threat serious enough for me to draw and probably shoot. looks like i may have to push my alert zone out another 3m, up my threat profiling, and increase my range time and shooting distances.

Guess we will also have to ‘rethink’ our perceived danger zone also.
Some lone guy or two with knives intent on removing your head from its resting place will NOT react the same as say up to 6 ‘yutes’ intent on doing bodily harm will more than likely flee if you were able to brandish a ‘starter’ pistol at them.
So, now we can ‘get in trouble’ for anticipation in the game of self preservation.
