It wouldn’t astound me, not now. I just watched a “man on the street” type survey of college-age people, in which they were asked who Adolf Hitler was. They were even shown a picture. Not one of the people questioned knew who he was. One thought he might be an old-time movie star (maybe they were thinking of Chaplin).

The college degree doesn’t mean she’s educated and/or informed.

A college degree in most cases today is a certificate stating the recipient has undergone an approved course of indoctrination. This is overwhelmingly true in the areas considered "liberal arts" (aka "socialist graffiti").

This particular person's academic credentials and work experience do not evoke any confidence that she is a thinking and logical being. Quite the contrary, they indicate a follower type mentality incapable of reasoned thought, relying on what has been told without question and independent research. Many people on the left demonstrate this type of immaturity to seek security from the consequences of making life's more difficult decisions. They are perpetual children and do not want to grow up.

I doubt she has any clue who Goebbels was and thought someone was trying to assist her with words of some historically significance to strengthen her position. She may have even felt flattered that some that her own thoughts aligned with those of some "important" person worth quoting.
