Kremlin has been running a massive psychological operation, which aim is to scare people in the west - that Russia will go to full scale war if Kremlin isn't allowed to put together all the ex-Soviet republic - and this guy seems to be a part of it. Russia is not ready for any confrontation with US/NATO, they upgraded their army but at the cost of its size, they would have to double their military spendings to become really dangerous and their economy wouldn't handle that. Russia alone won't be a superpower again, not without a chain a territories it used to freeload off, so they must not be allowed to control them again. With 150 million people all this talk is a huge bluff of the botox grandpa.
