I think it is long past time to bring manufacturing back to America.

I don’t seem to be in a majority view of that, but I strongly believe a selfish minority has captured and sold-off American industry, to the overall harm of America.

America in general seems to at the moment, be sold on the cheap prices, but we really need to look at our nation’s own manufacturing capability.

We need to bring it back, and bring it back now.

That is my view.

A minority view again it seems, at the moment.

I don’t think it’s a minority view. I guess it depends on what crowd you’re speaking to. It always comes down to what you have (resources etc.), or what you can make. Manufacturing capability is a huge reason we won WWII (not taking anything away from the bravery and fighting capability of all those who fought for us). If the question was asked “What country can produce the highest number of fighter jets, ships, tanks, guns, and ammunition in the shortest period? I think I’d still put my money on the U.S., but I think the gap is starting to close in an uncomfortable way.

I wish it were that simple. I will point out one fact to you, the cos. doing well are Dollar Tree, Dollar General and such. Cheap discount stores, that is because Americans have gone thru their capital. We lived off the fat of the land that our forefathers produced and now we are broke. I don’t see the US having enough capital to rebuild our manufacturing base. I wish we could bring back manufacturing to our shores but I just don’t see the math working out.
