Putin’s former aide: Russia has been preparing for global war since 2003
Lithuania Tribune ^ | Friday, September 26, 2014

People in the Baltic states cannot feel secure. Russian President Vladimir Putin has a plan he has been working on for over a decade. So says former adviser to President Putin, Andrey Illarionov.

Giving a presentation at a conference in Palanga, Lithuania, Illarionov, who advised Putin on economic policy in 2000-2005, referred to a question that was raised in the recent Riga Conference 2014: Can people in Riga sleep peacefully at night?

“The same question could be raised in Tallinn, Vilnius, Palanga, Bucharest and other cities. No one in Riga could reply to it in the positive,” Illarionov said. “From my side, though, the question should be rephrased, especially after Barack Obama visited Estonia and said that NATO was prepared to defend Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. The situation seems safer after the statement, but we must look at military readiness, military equipment at hand, not words. From the point of view of military readiness, NATO forces in the Baltics are insufficient.” …

Russia has been preparing for global war since 2003

The West's will to survive has been sapped by rejection of Christianity, the development of the social welfare state, leftism, feminisk, and multiculturalism.

The West has insurmountable debts. The West is dying and Putin aims to fill in the vacuum.

Is this the part that bothers you?

"How would NATO react if 'little green men' turned up not near Tallin, Riga or Vilnius, but, say, Narva?" he asks.

It’s clear that Putin’s drive for world conquest and a communist empire doesn’t bother you.

bump

Like leftists who looked at the USSR and Cuba and other places got wet dreams, today the new Evil Empires are rising in the middle east and Gog and both have their supporters.

It is getting crazy out there.

It’s a smarter strategy than thinking weakness will win over your enemies and everyone will end up sitting around the UN holding hands and singing Kumbaya.

Not all of the West, there is a kind of civil war going on in Western culture: the traditionalists (encompassing all types of conservatives) and the postmoderns (encompassing all progressives).

Let’s hope that in the end our ideas win. Either that or the dying liberal countries can rot-while those who turn to conservative solutions, hopefully will be given strength enough to fend off the non-western Tyrants..

We have unbelievable commitments not unsurmountable debts. Sanctions drawn up by the west which is pure dollar terms is hardly anything has brought Russia to it’s knees. The West has all the money, Russia is a pathetic country that hopes that it’s will to use power will be enough. Cowards will make Russia like a Nazi Germany, strength will show that Russia is nothing but a paper tiger.

Without the oil and gas stick, Putin has nothing. I can understand why there are people who want to drill, drill, drill, but I should think those same people would want to promote solar and wind so we have all the power we need and can use our carbon based fuels strategically.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with private industry and private dollars wanting to put money behind solar, wind, or any other alternative fuel. It does take release off of oil, and as we continue to expand our drilling, it will only decrease our indepedence on foreign sources of industry.

Haven't the Russians been doing that since the 1940s?

Wind and solar won’t be a major factor in energy production in our lifetimes or our children’s lifetimes. But they’re both doing a great job of killing thousands of birds and other creatures.
