For all his faults, including the fact that he was a Democrat, I still consider Traficant to be one of the good guys. There are no good Democrats left, just hard line Marxist ideologues.

Traficant came from a solid democrat district si he had no choice about party really. Unlike lickspittle McCain, Traficant was a true maverick who said what he thought and stood up for the little guy. He alienated his party bosses by telling the truth, and when he was caught gaming the system the same way a hundred of his colleagues did, they used it to ax him.
