With Liberia’s chief medical staff under quarantine after one of their office assistances died of Ebola, just how did she contact it? Was it through not taking the proper precautions in PPC clothing or was she as dense as the rest at a funeral? If the chief medical officer’s staff doesn’t have common sense and won’t follow the rules, then there’s no hope for the general public.

This is a specific instance of a wider question about this outbreak: why are (my estimate) 5-10% of the victims healthcare workers?
They are presumably taking the same precautions they always have, but I don’t recall them being affected to the same extent in prior events.
So has the threat changed, or the behavior (or both)?
Perhaps the scale of the outbreak has stressed the supply of PPE, and they are doing risky things like re-using it (which they are, and which they may not have done in prior outbreaks).
