SYDNEY, Australia — In Kings Cross, this city’s bawdy, alcohol-infused red-light district, Mohammad Ali Baryalei once patrolled the sidewalk outside the Love Machine club, his basso voice luring customers in, his muscle keeping the unwanted out. For a time, the police said, his was a world of prostitutes, drugs, gangs and gambling.
But a few years ago, Mr. Baryalei, the son of Afghan refugees who settled in the suburbs of Australia’s most multicultural city, embraced radical Islam and traveled to Syria, where he resurfaced as a lieutenant of the extremist Islamic State. This month, the authorities here said, he was recorded on a phone call instructing a young Australian to carry out what the police described as a “demonstration killing” of a random person in Sydney.

The ba$tards have infiltrated every Christian county in the world and as Christians we can all expect things like this to happen any where at any time. Prepare and protect yourselves and your families as best you can. These are not idol threats from the crazies that walk amongst us, they are dangerous people.
We here in NYS and NYC are at Ground Zero in this insanity. Every small town and city is infected with this virus. The prison system has been providing imams with access to the inmate population for thirty years at least. Many of which are former inmates. There area active mosques in every community in the state. It is my opinion that they aren’t preaching how to “coexist”. It is time for hyper-vigilance while shopping and being out and about in this state. The state has seen to it that it is next to impossible to legally carry a firearm. Anything can happen at anytime.
I would feel a lot better if you were legally CCWing in the NYC area when I come to visit. now de Blasio is apparently putting an end to stop and frisk. I don't know if I will be visiting NYC again soon.
The folly of current NYS & NYC CCW laws are that the city doesn’t recognize the state right to carry. I have an unrestricted CCW for NYS. I can carry my weapon anywhere in NYS except the NYC limits. I have held this permit sine 1975. On the flipside, a NYC CCW holder can carry his weapon anywhere upstate he wishes. It is virtually impossible for a John Q. Public to acquire a NYC CCW. The application process, not to mention, very expensive, is also fraught with many hurdles. Most applications end up in a pile on some police captains desk. Unless of course you are a politician, attorney, celebrity, or friend of the mayor. The locale where you would most need to carry your weapon makes you vulnerable to prosecution. If you have a CCW from out of state, please leave your weapon at home if you are planning a visit to the Big Apple. The NYPD loves locking up law abiding tourists.
Absolutely. I would never carry in NYC.
It seems like wherever there is no CCWing by honest citizens, there would be a stop and frisk policy so that the honest citizens would be on a somewhat level playing field. I would not have any problem with being stopped and checked in order to maintain a somewhat level playing field. Just don't feel confident with liberal logic.
