Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS) declared his opposition to granting amnesty for illegal immigrants and contrasted this with his Independent opponents support for amnesty on Fridays Laura Ingraham Show.
[Orman] says he that wants to grant citizenship to all illegal aliens if they pay a small fine and promise to obey the law, these people have already broken the law. I have fought amnesty every time I will always fight amnesty, thats a big difference in our debate" he said. Roberts added that he would absolutely not support increasing guest workers in the United States.

Does that include not voting for Bhoner’s leadership? Because if you do, you back amnesty.
Boehner must go. . .I’m not from Pat Robert’s state, but I think a little more info on his support of Boehner might be helpful. The independent is definitely a democrat that is evident.
Just look up his votes/positions.
Bull manure.
Roberts is in the Senate.
Id be happy if Lynn Jenkins and Pompeo lost.
Good Lord, folks. He is in the SENATE. This has nothing to do with Boehner.
See post 7.
Bhomer, McColnel...Have you noticed that the once clear lines dividing all aspects of government are gone? You have congressmen campaigning/fundraising in the states of others...it’s one big happy family. Did he support Bhoner or did he side with the handful that supposed him? Did he side with Mitch or with the handful that opposed him?
Same damn thing.
since he is a senator.....

Those that fail to learn the lessons of history are condemned to forever repeat them.
We tried amnesty, with the promise from the Dims to secure the border. The Dims got their amnesty we didn’t get the border secured. Does anyone think it would be different this time?
Boehnor and McConnell say “It’s Not Amnesty!” and so will you say too Senator Roberts, and so will you.
And after you vote for Amnesty you will duck and dive, and when cornered you will shriek “But It’s Not Amnesty! It’s Not Amnesty!”. Yep.
Does he really think we are that stupid? But then I guess quite a few are. The nominal fine, even though it is followed by pages of exemptions, and exceptions, would “technically” penalize the law breakers, thereby making the immigration laws they have been pushing not amnesty. Amnesty means to forgive, and if we penalize them, it isn’t actually forgiveness. This is Clintonesque in its deceit. How about saying he will never support allowing people that broke our laws to remain in this country and become citizens.
I have to side with Norm on this one. If SENATOR Roberts has the mindset of Boehner. . .then “what difference does it make?” Every chance I get, I state my opinion that “Boehner must go”. He has been at best an ineffective leader. . . at worst leaning toward cowardice with almost treasonous tendencies.
Amnesty needs to be very clearly defined. I think when most candidates mention amnesty they mean that illegals can’t become citizens but they can stay (and continue to steal jobs and benefits).
Candidates need to be PUSHED for a very specific definition.
With everyone in Kansas watching the Royals - White Sox game, it didn’t take long for this thread to go off the rails. Quite the politically savvy group. /s
News flash-—Roberts was a no vote on the Senate bill that passed.
Does that include fighting for it, Patty?
Pat Roberts cannot vote for Boner. Roberts is in the Senate.
