#4 – Three Dog Night: “Easy to Be Hard”

I’ve told the story of how I interviewed James Rado and Gerome Ragni, who were two of the three men behind “Hair”. Rado was a nice guy, but Ragni liked to push people’s buttons. He gave me a lot of trouble because of my ROTC uniform.

Songs from “Hair” were all over the charts in the summer of 1969, and this was one of the biggest.

A lot of people in the 60’s missed the point of that song!

Some of the most heartless, cruel, thoughtless and mean people i ever met were in “the movement”.
