A restless electorate and a target-rich map have the GOP on the cusp of winning the Senate majority. But with fewer than 40 days until November, Republican campaigns are suddenly confronting a problem that undermines high hopes of victory: a sudden and serious lack of cash.
GOP campaigns, political committees, andabove allthe party's outside groups are scrambling to raise money, worried that Democrats and their allied groups are poised to heavily outspend them on TV ads in the final weeks before Election Day. Concerns run deepest about October, when Democratic groups are on track to pour millions of dollars into a handful of races that will determine which party controls the Senate. In some of those same races, Republicans have reserved little or no airtime.
The disparity has led to mounting frustration among political operatives running Republican campaigns. And they are issuing a blunt warning: In a year with a half-dozen tight Senate contests, the party could easily squander most of them.
"I am worried about it for the first time in a long time," said Rob Jesmer, who ran the National Republican Senatorial Committee in 2012 and 2010 and continues to work on behalf of Senate campaigns now. "I think in some of these places, it could be the determining factor."

They must be broke, I don’t get their letters anymore. Getting rid of the land line means they don’t call... Ah, peace...
Maybe McConnell can fund all the races out of his campaign stash.
I see absolutely NO reason to donate to a party who has kept my mailbox stuffed with multiple mailings. Sometimes 3 or 4 of the same item.
Sorry, if they run out of money, maybe I won’t have so much trash to haul out.
My two favorite possible tag lines from this thread:
Call Thad in Mississippi. Hes got so much he gives it to the Dems to vote. - WiKOP
Maybe McConnell can fund all the races out of his campaign stash. - SRT
Whenever the GOPe, NRSC, NRCC contacts me begging for money, I will give them one of those two lines. Thank you both so much!
THIS guy had the audacity to *push* the conservative theme....
Were down to crunch time, Fellow Conservative.
This is serious. With a crucial fundraising deadline only 4 days away, the NRCC needs your help to reach this months goal.
These goals arent just arbitrary numbers, they are important mile markers, indicating whether or not our conservative candidates will have the resources needed to defeat their liberal opponents.
I asked Congressional Republicans how I could help.
They asked me to reach back out to you directly and ask for a contribution of $50, or whatever you can afford today.
Month after month, the Democrats have posted record-breaking fundraising numbers. This is our opportunity to eliminate their cash advantage.
Fellow Conservative, we simply cant afford to let President Obama win control of the House for the final two years of his presidency. The results would be disastrous.
Please chip in today and help protect our House majority.
The NRCC is the official campaign committee in charge of defeating Pelosi and her allies. They must have the resources they need to win.
Thank you and God Bless!
Mitt
Love it bump!
Yeah, but the GOP will probably let him keep his prop...
If there is a way to lose this election, the Rovian Establishment will find it.
You’re welcome to use my humble submission at any time.
As long as the checks clear, it's not like he cares.
Thank you, it’s great!

Not one penny!
Its not as simple as that. If the candidate with an R next to his name is just as liberal as the candidate with a D next to their name why would a conservative fund either one of them? If the D wins then at least you can blame them for the failures their policies inevitably cause. If the R wins you get to read about how even R's now support gun control, or how Obamacare is really just Romneycare applied nationwide.
And you can be sure the press isn't going to give the R's a pass on the inevitable failure of liberal policies. Notice how Republicans get blamed for wars, the Patriot Act, etc. but Democrats who do the exact same thing don't.
If we have to endure liberal politicians, let them be Democrats.
I read an article on here the other day that said the SCF (Senate Conservative Fund) is not giving any financial support to Joni Ernst in Iowa. The did in the Primary, but for the General, as of yet, they have not helped at all. Anybody have a clue as to “why”?
I have decided to wear a clothes pin on my nose on
election day.
The GOPE abuses the base and then wonders why funds
arent coming in? They are too stupid to hold office...
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Then why the clothes pin; why vote for them if they’re too stupid to hold office? Vote for a Conservative Independent or vote Libertarian or do a write-in. If I was in MS or KY, Cochran or McConnell, neither one, would get my vote.
I LOVE IT!!! I hope that the true Conservatives in Mississippi do REMEMBER on Nov. 4th, what Thad Cochran, Haley Barbour and the GOP Establishment did to a fine, young Conservative named Chris McDaniel and how they disenfranchised thousands and thousands of true Republicans and Conservatives by paying Democrats to vote for Cochran in the run-off. A pox on all their houses.
The Stupid Party was a real good name for it
Not a vote for the RINOs.
They must be defeated if we hope to elect conservatives in the future.
