Where's that American "can do!" spirit? I'll bet if we tried really hard, we could make it happen! Hell, I'll bet if we just got rid of the 400 Million between the Nile and the Indus, the remaining 600 Million (you know, the ones that are not USUALLY completely bat-s--t crazy or seem to be born with a streak of barbarism) would get the message PDQ. Especially if one of the pillars of the faith is impossible to do because that would mean going into a radioactive crater in the middle of Saudi Arabia...

Unfortunately, our political leadership has been joined at the hip with Saudi Arabia for many decades. You know, oil and all that stuff.
It’s going to take a total catastrophe to wake us up, and by then it may be too late.
