Rep. Pete King (R-Long Island), who chairs the House Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, and is rarely accused of underplaying terror threats, told the Daily News that Abadi’s claims should not be taken seriously.
King said he spoke Thursday with officials in the FBI, Homeland Security Department and elsewhere after the Prime Ministers claim aired.
Theyre all saying no, theres nothing to it, King said.
There is absolutely no evidence of it at all, he added.
People should not take it seriously until they are told by the NYPD, by the FBI, or by Homeland Security that there is something there, King said. And I dont expect anything to be there
Somebody is going to look like a fool.
Regardless of what Pete King says, the article clearly states that security has been raised at the subways.
In 6 years has Obama ever told us there was an increased terror threat?
King is employing Fragile economy protection...ISIS will hit near the Thanksgiving holiday, maybe something as bold as a hit at the Thanksgiving parade which would be devastating to the country’s mindset and moral. That type of hit would instill a fear so great that people in larger urban areas will not engage in normal Christmas shopping in public places...any hit in the last quarter will upset the economy...and ruin two huge holidays that most Americans celebrate and respect that are closely tied to the economy.
The terrorist will do anything to kill people and the economy...
