He is supposed to be a professional, capable of controlling himself and his fear reactions, and have a better threat recognition than this. Understand this one FACT. THIS NATION IS NOT ALL ABOUT THE NEEDS OF THE COP. If a cop is that self centered, don’t be a cop. The cop serves us, not us serving him. He is paid to take the risks, not pass them on to others.

How many of these ridiculous incidents are we supposed to just ‘accept’? The concept of deadly force is supposed to be reasonable fear, not any fear at all.

Everybody seems to think that with massive amounts of training, human nature can be put in a little box and shoved into a corner.
Why do we seem to have more of these types of incidents? Sign of the times. Cops are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
He screwed the pooch for sure, but I’m not jumping on the band wagon to condemn every cop that makes a mistake. I’m willing to give him/her the benefit of the doubt.
