What people don’t often get is that these are NOT individual organizations.
Rather they are tightly coupled arms of the Progressive Movement, each intended to target a specific segment of the population based on a limited number of issues.
But they’re really like the Borg: some unique individual attributes but otherwise just an integrated part of the larger collective.
Look at how they treated Susan Koman Race for the Cure when it attempted to break away from the collective. Look at the common datasystems (Catalist) that unify them.
And people wonder why Conservatives, with better ideas, ideals, values and policies usually lose to them?
