Unless they are in hot pursuit and they actually see the suspect enter a certain vehicle, property or building, then no, the search for a suspected killer is not sufficient reason to violate the rights of the rest of the citizenry.

PS - I am NOT saying the lawyer in question isn’t a greedy pig.

As I said, most people in that area are panicked and carrying. Nobody that I know or have heard of is complaining. They want this guy caught!
