It's been on shelves for a matter of days, but some iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users are complaining of a major design flaw that sees the smartphone body bend under pressure.
Photos have begun appearing online showing distinctly bent aluminium devices, with complaints that the new iterations of the iPhone, which feature a thinner and larger aluminium body, are unable to stand up to the wear and tear of staying in a pocket.
Apple users have taken to the MacRumors forum to complain about the design flaw, which seems to affect the device at the top end near the volume buttons. One user, hanzoh, posted an image of a bent iPhone 6 Plus, complaining that the device warped after roughly 18 hours in his pocket.

Wow! Don’t these people know that they’re supposed to spend another $50 on a case...?
So the iPhone can fold to better fit in your pocket. Cool!
Such a large phone and Apple insists on making it as thin as possible.
I look like the nerd I am, but I insist on carrying my iPhone 5c in a belt pouch, not stuffed into my back pocket.
Whenever I’m on a call and the other person’s voice is garbled or distorted and difficult to understand, I ask them what phone they’re on. 7 out of 10 times, it’s an iPhone.
The only cell phone that is now curved and it is not an iPhone, are those from LG.
Same here.
They shouldda used Liquidmetal. There’s the rub.
It’s a feature, not a problem!
I've had this experience. My impression is that the microphone on the iPhone is positioned such that if you don't talk directly into it, the voice is muffled or distorted. It makes conversation near impossible. Anyone else notice this?
First. World. Problems.

No, all family members have iPhones, about 6 plus coworkers. I never have comm problems unless they’re on another network (not ATT).
I know, some areas of the country your experience may vary!
Yes, it is the cover on the phone. Most covers make you sound like your in a barrel. Take the cover off and it sounds fine.
Have ran into this with the water proof type.
Same here. Wife & I have iPhones, and my company’s 15 employees have iPhones and NO Problem in everyday communications.

That’s because you’re ot supposed to use an eyephone to actually *talk* to people.
You use an eyephone to update your Facebook and LinkedIn and tweet where you are and what you’re doing every minute or so, and look up answers to stuff so you’re the smartest one at the dinnertable.
Plus it gives you something to entertain yourself with in your car, in church, on the bus, while eating out, while walking, while standing, while sitting on the pot... that way you never have to have make eye contact with actual, you know, *human beings*.
“a major design flaw that sees the smartphone body bend under pressure.”
God made hammers to fix problems like this. Or you could get the vise out of your Kwanza kit and straighten it out lickety-split.
Not to mention...you can charge your iPhone in the microwave.
;-)
That’s strange, never had a bendy problem with my flip phone. I would get the rotary dial version if it were
available. Let’s hear it for “Luddites for Progress”
Give every customer a label that says “do not bend, fold or mutilate.”
