Strongly disapprove (35) twice the number of strongly approve (17).

This is a huge switch. And why the change?

It's likely his far left who HATES that Obama is waging war. There is very very little support from them right now and that's why he's ramping up the global warming and racial type rhetoric pre election.

Strongly Disapprove (37%) exceeds the (Strongly + Somewhat) Approve (31%) -> Abyss Index = -5! Even with "leaning approve" (4%) the Abyss Index is at -2. And from al-Reuters, to boot!

Rasmussen's Daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sept 23, 2014 has ..."47%...approve...(F)ifty-two percent (52%) disapprove...23% ...Strongly Approve... and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18."
