One of my favorite authors expanded that particular phrase into a “skinless chicken for every pot”, because his liberal character in the book wanted to ban everything that tasted good. hehe
The food police really are like Prohibition and Carrie Nation, aren’t they? Just dour, sour killjoys hellbent on control because they know better than we what’s good for us.
