Funny, my EMPLOYER had NO PROBLEM being “competent to decide” if I was legally allowed to work. That would be a good start regarding this issue.

In any case, while I was questioning the practicalities of a school having to verify status (you're right, employers do it routinely now), I absolutely oppose any law giving an explicit right to something they have no right to.
Perry is wrong to back a law granting a right to anyone here illegally. And this is my problem with Perry; he has been soft on this from the beginning.
