The co-founder of PayPal and likely the most successful venture capitalist in Silicon Valley is on a mission to change the world through technology and to find a cure for death
An hour into my conversation with Peter Thiel the conversation turns, as it seems conversations with Thiel often do, to the question of death. Basically, Thiel says earnestly, Im against it.

this is not new news ....a way to defeat death was arrived at long ago : “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” - John 3:16
and about Mr. Thiel : Luke 18:25
Can’t buy it sir .....
You have a duty to make your exit before your time. For the good of the Obamanation collective.
how odd it is that those on the extreme left want to eradicate a third of the human race....for the good of “the planet”....while extending life....or in this clown’s case.... eliminating death....
Thank You!
Thank you, and bless you.
“the fallen human nature to never have enough money, time, etc.”
imagine living in this ever declining broken world..for another hundred years?
what sort of bizarre barbarism will be the norm in 2114??
well thats a good thing.
may he continue to do so in good health.
I feel a song coming on.
...........
tune of: Swing on a star

Would you... like to float in a jar
carry my brain around even to a bar?
I’d be better off than you are
or would you rather be a corpse?
A corpse is a dead person with long curly finger nail
Lifeless in every way, turning to dust
buried far beneath the ground, closer to hell
No thoughts, not even access to the net
or would you rather sing while floating in a jar
I’d be connected straight to the web
I wouldn’t even have the need for a bed
The guy who had the styrofoam cup company tried to do the same kind of thing. He wanted to keep his brain alive in a jar if he could.
It’s somewhat alarming to ponder just how a baby would form in the womb, let alone grow through childhood and into adulthood in zero gravity. Spidery limbs, generally weak and wan but with a big head, probably. Sounds familiar, lol.
That reminds me “the Strain “ is on tonight.
You have been watching too many space alien movies. LOL!
If you remember Genesis, the early people had extended lifespans, right up until the flood. Something changed then that put a hard limit on the normal life expectancy.
If someone could unwind what happened, they could compensate for it possibly. It would be an interesting problem to try and unravel.
I'm not going to say it because after reading the entire article, I find the title is misleading........
Thiel is definitely a visionary with the personal finances and the companies he is affiliated with that have the abilities to prolong life......
He's not a fanatic about cheating death but rather funding the technology required to explore the process and develop the means to prolong it.
With technology growing exponentially, one can't even imagine what his investments will spawn over the next 50 years in the simple attempt to cheat death.....
When one looks at the communications industry and everything that branched off from it, you can't forget the famous line that launched it all:
""Mr. Watson--come here--I want to see you."
Kudos to Mr. Thiel.........
This is, for me, very cool.
ME TOO! And as I stated in my previous post, it's much more than that, it's the offspring or unintended discoveries that will truly advance mankind..........
EXCELLENT COMMENT!
- A Song Of Ice And Fire
I looked it up, he looks way older than 75 already. I would guess his age at 80 or older. He looks really bad and really old.
Ezekiel Emanuel, WHY WAIT? GO NOW!
