Not that unlikely
Will Brown vote for Harry Reid as the Majority Leader?
“... Brown got into office and then helped pass Obamacare ...”
-
False.
My apology is in #13
Then you don’t understand how Congress works. If Brown caucuses with the GOP, then they will have committee majorities and their legislation will come to the floor. It doesn’t matter if Brown then votes for this legislation or not.
“...in a state he moved to only last year” Doesn’t matter, half the voters in southern NH moved there from MA. That’s why the Dem candidate has any chance at all.
"Live Free or Die" is a dead saying there now.
The flat landers have taken over. "Live Free or Die " will be stricken from the license plates withen 2 years in the name of PC.
“I dont vote for Democrats, I vote for the more conservative candidate, and I always vote. Staying at home and pouting is not an option for me.”
Agree w/ you 1000%. Politics requires building coalitions to advance agendas. A Republican from the Northeast is better than a Democrat from the Northeast. There were a lot of moderate country club Republicans in Congress when Reagan was elected in 1980. Without them there would be no Scalia, or indexed tax tables etc.
To wait for ideological purity is to wait forever. I understand the conservative frustration w/ Boehner et al. Democrats are closest to ideological purity - it took them 70 years to get there. Unless the Repub party which has a good number of conservatives gets control of both houses, it will be that much longer (if ever) to have a chance to slow down or repair a sinking ship. I want to see Sheehan lose and if it takes Brown to do it with an R behind his name, so be it.
He will probably vote for the other anti-conservative Senator instead, no big difference.
Questions for you:
1. Would you vote for Ted Cruz if he was running for the Senate from New Hampshire?
2. Do you think he could win?
I have read many attempts to assert that there is no difference between McConnell and Reid. None of them come close to making the case. One can certainly argue that McConnell leaves much to be desired from a Conservative point of view, but to declare that he is the same as Reid is laughable.
There is a deep, deep misunderstanding of the importance of this fact here at FR. I could have used the term "ignorance of the importance" but I'm too polite for that.
A simple example proves you right: Trey Gowdy is the head of a committee investigating Benghazi. He was put in place by the well known RINO/GOPe John Boehner. Would this happen if Nancy Pelosi was running the Senate?
Short term? Brown. Long term depends on which party is in power when the house of cards comes down.
agreed.
he is anti-conservative and he will pass amnesty
Thanks. I already have you in the “I’m a Freeper and I support Reid” bucket, so your comments just help confirm what I already believe.
If you know of a good argument for adopting your point of view and how it will help conservatives to win elections, I’d love to see it.
Huh? Brown has been one of the people successfully hammering Shaheen on amnesty.
I was talking about McConnell
“
I would not vote for him. I no longer take the lesser of two evils. I just don’t vote for Liberals.”
This election is about who holds the senate gavel; Dem’s or GOP. If Brown should win and the GOP should win the senate, Brown as a back bencher senator won’t do conservatives any harm. But, if he loses and the GOP should fail to gain the senate, then Crazy Harry retains the Gavel for two more years. Now, that would really suck, don’t you think?
I don’t support any Democrats even the ones with an R next to their names. If you fail to understand what that means, that is your problem.
