OK trebb; apparently you live in MS. Does it look like there’s a chance that Thad Cochran can be defeated? I know the Dems are fired up and discretely wooing the McDaniel people. They have a conservative Democrat, Travis Childers, for their candidate (Pro-Life, Pro-Second Amendment and ANTI-Sex Marriage.) The Dems are raising a lot of out-of-State money for this race. If the Conservatives stay home, skip the Senate Race on the ballot or vote for the Dem...... Cochran could lose and Haley Barbour would not get to give this seat to one of his nephews in a year or two. WHAT SAY YE? Can Cochran be defeated?

I wish I had a definitive answer to that. I believe that he can be put down, but that it would entail having the "regular crowd" vote for Childers. We know a little about Childers, but do not know if he would be a "toe-the-line" Democrat when it came to further infringements on our Freedoms. There is no fire in anyone's belly for Cochran but many will be torn with the possibility that not voting for him may hurt chances to assume control of the Senate - that's my only concern and I don't think there's a real benefit for voting for Cochran despite that possibility.

From what I gather, he seems to be cut from the same cloth as Joe Manchin from West VA. They both, might end up switching Parties to the GOP. That's the talk re: Manchin anyhow.

I understand, but hear me please: We are going to win more Senate seats than the six (6) needed; trust me. We can regain control of the Senate WITHOUT COCHRAN WINNING!!!
