We have a chance to break the party and to TRY to restore it to the REAL and loyal opposition, a party that actively opposes communism, and an increasingly subsidized American population, indentured servitude to Chinese Communists, the Godless and socialist public re-education camps, pacifism, and threats on Christian religious liberty.

How do you propose to bring the population with us? The culture, the economy, the media, the education system, the government, everything is against us. We have to convert the population to conservative principles and they have most of the tools working against us. Our only tool is the internet and a few political leaders.

You are proposing starting from scratch. I think it might be easier to co-opt an existing structure like the GOP.

Be careful what you wish to co-opt.

To break the party RINO strangle hold is not done by repeatedly voting them back into office.

They must LOSE to expect a course correction.

Yes, this means LOSING in general elections, where it is actually effective, because the message is received.

Not voting for a RINO is a most valuable vote. It rejects the plantation mentality.

It also means our Hope is not in a party apparatus for saving us. We know who is our Savior is.

If society chooses to fall and fail in such great numbers as you suggest, then who am I to stop a nation who has elected to enslave itself, but voting RINO has proven no deterrent, it makes you complicit.

Resistance has always been hard and risky. Not to resist is worse.

On this corner, wearing the transparent trunks under the flabby midsections, are the polo clubs, the yacht clubs, ABCSeeBSNBCCNNMSNBCNYTimesChicagoTribuneWaPo, PS 666, the Union League, the Junior League , that ever popular government, the ghost of organized labor and the graveyard vote in Chicago.

AND in the opposite corner, in red, white and blue trunks, we have Rush, Sean, Mark, and radio talk generally, people who work with their hands for a living, most churches, fraternal organizations, pro-lifers, the normally married, gun folks, veterans, military personnel and the rest of the dispossessed American majority.

The internet is neutral but we love it because we have uncontrolled access to which we are not accustomed. Liberals have it too but they take access for granted. Of course, liberalism is a mental illness (thank you Michael Savage!) and liberals don't get as much bang for their buck.

You strike me as either an awful pessimist or as a cheerleader for RINO government. It is not sensible to expect success by electing a patriot here and a sensible candidate there while Wall Street $$$$$ takes its toll in primaries nominating windtunnel fools and actual publicly identified Demonrats have occasional successful election cycles (usually due to the RINOs getting caught with their covetous greedy $$$$$ obsessed paws in the cookie jar as usual).

You apparently missed the fact that there is an enraged public and that part of what enrages them is "Republican" leaders who offer NOTHING as an alternative to Obamunism. The faux "Republicans" think that they are avoiding controversy by supporting what Obozo supports only a smidgeon less of it. The spineless "Republicans" don't care about mountains of dead babies, about the destruction of marriage, about gun confiscation, about nosy government intrusions on our telephone calls and internet communications, IRS harassment of ordinary citizens suspected of not worshipping Obozo reflexively, eyc., etc., etc.

Instead of spending God knows how many more decades mud wrestling against Wall Street's zillions of $$$$ for control of the GOP and wasting our time, what might we do instead?

Home school children wherever possible. Someone has to lead the next generation and it may as well be our kids. Can't homeschool them? Send them to parent-controlled academies with sound curricula. Resist government skewel spending. We do not need to fund football, basketball, marching bands, junior years in Europe (some CT schools do that one at taxpayer expense), expensive social events and expensive extracurricular programs out the wazoo. We DO need educational attainment and excellence in Mathematics, Sciences, Literature, Grammar, Modern Languages, Latin and Greek, History, Great Books, Classical Literature, Shakespeare, O. Henry and Saki, Vergil and Xenophon and Cicero and Homer, Theology (whatever flavor you prefer) and Morality. This was done in Jesuit prep schools in the recent past (fifty years ago) and it is do-able now. The graduates will OWN their government schooled academic contemporaries. REMOVE each and every child from government schooling (other than the one where verga teaches in rural Virginia). Arrange substitute activities to make up for loss of extracurriculars. Have the kids compete with all kids in Academic Bowl type competitions and dominate.

Young or old or anywhere in between, educate yourself by reading a conservative canon of books. Examples: Economics: von Hayek, von Mises, Friedman, Adam Smith. American History: James I. Robertson, Paul Johnson, David McCullough, Steven Ambrose, Ladislas Farago. Math: Saxon Math, all of it. Religion (I am a Catholic): All of the Old Testament and New Testament, Pascendi Domenici Gregis and Lamentabile Sane (both by Pope St. Pius X), Rerum Novarum by Pope Leo XIII, Malachi Martin, Blessed Fulton Sheen, Saint John Paul II, St. Augustine, St. John of the Cross, Francis Schaeffer (not Catholic but very Christian), Hillaire Belloc, G. K. Chesterton, C. S. Lewis (not Catholic but very Christian) and Rabbi Menachem Schneerson (the late Rebbe of the very sizeable Lubavitcher group of Chassidic Orthodox Jews).

Add other works of similar weight and interest in other subjects. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn: Gulag Archipelago, Cancer Ward and just about anything else, Paul Johnson, just about anything, Robert Remini on Andrew Jackson, Samuel Eliot Morrison on the Age of Discovery, American History generally, on John Paul Jones, on the US Navy in WWII, etc.

Teach the young to write persuasively, argue cogently, handle Robert's Rules for public and organizational meetings, recruit others, organize movement activity and to punish their enemies.

Learn and teach reliable sources of news and history and morality. Encourage young people to consider careers as clerics, teachers, officeholders, newspaper writers, editorialists, TV and radio reporters, attorneys, political staff, educrats, writers of popular entertainment and novels, and other relevant professions.

Teach everyone of us the habit of refusing to compromise or to put on a happy face for its own sake, train in the use of firearms and reloading and the use of wilderness resources.

How do you propose to bring the population with us?

Oh ye of little faith... Another Rush Limbaugh 'See, I told you so' moment is needed. We ARE the population.

That isn’t the problem, the problem is a lot of “us” are doing what you say we can’t get others to do. We need to stop voting for them, period. Step 2 comes after step 1.
