Amazing, like lawyers they mince words, they come up with a million ways to twist 1 simple sentence.

One sentence that is part of a message repeated throughout Scripture.

They are legalists, modern day Pharisees. Indeed, the Pharasaical tradition literally continues in them. They write THEIR OWN LAWS. They come up with new interpretations to replace the original true interpretations of Scripture.

Silly lawyers - it’s not so easy to confuse a person who has the benefit of the whole counsel of God, where commands are reinforced again and again in common themes that can only be wilfully ignored.

One only has to peruse the Bible for the letters chasten and one comes up with 24 verses:

Deuteronomy 8:5
Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.

Deuteronomy 21:18
If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:

2 Samuel 7:14
I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

Job 5:17
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
