Yeah, I use to be in those War games, and you are decades behind if you think that Russia still has 7 Airborne Divisions, and unheard masses of bridge building units and Air Assault units, and 6.4 million men under arms, and top notch tanks poised on NATO's borders.
For one thing, those Warsaw pact countries are all now part of OUR military alliance, they are in NATO.
I always heard, but maybe you could shed some light on it. But what I heard in the past, is that in instances where Russian soldiers themselves, did not feel they were justified in invading other countries, traditionally did very poorly on the battlefield. Finnland in World War 2 being a classic example of it. Thoughts from former Army guys? :-)
