Election Day is quickly approachingit's Nov. 4 this year, and we face a pretty big choice between a Congress that continues to obstruct any national progress and has already signaled they want to shut the government down again and one that will actually try to help working people, create jobs and grow economic opportunity for all, not just the wealthy and corporations.
Don't wait until the last minute to double check that your registration is up to date and know where your polling place is, or you may find out that your voice won't be heard.
They both rolled over and played dead!
So vote for a non viable establishment flop horse candidate or you blame US?
No More!
That’s Nov 5th for the DemocRATs and the RINOs, and Nov 4th for the Conservatives ?
Neither were elected, how did they roll over? Too many purists refused to vote in 2012 {2008 was too tough for mcpain} and we got obama twice.
I’m all set in AZ.
The most recent poll - CBS/New York Times (8/18-9/2) - has Cochran up by 15%.
That's consistent with one other poll - PPP post-primary (7/10-7/13) - also at +15%.
It looks like most pollsters think the election is over there and have stopped polling.
I don't want the Democrat to win, but I am still really hoping Cochran will just squeak by with a 1% or 2% victory.
Conservatives must keep reminding the GOP leadership we will not accept center-left RINO’s anymore.
November 4th.. uncles early voting... then you can vote early and often...
Sorry, that's not correct.
There are NO statistical data that support the myth that Conservatives stayed home in 2012.
In 2012 - 4.2 million white voters stayed home.
In 2012 - Romney got 1.4 million MORE white votes than McCain.
In 2012 - Obama got 5.5 million LESS white votes than in 2008.
Bottom Line - the white voters who stayed home voted for Obama in 2008.
My sources?
I used the Congressional certified vote totals from the Federal Election Commission.
I used the NEP (National Election Pool) exit data on voting by race.
NEP exit data is used by every major news source in America.
These are the FINAL election numbers.
Please don't send me completely useless “stay home” links to reports that were written just days after the election.
I will send anyone my links.
You can check my math in less than 10 minutes.
Most union shop supervisors are drunks. They’re usually dead by age 50. The machine shop I worked at after I got mustered out of the service was infested with union scum.
We had a half-hour for lunch, and the union shop stewards would already be at the bar across the street, half out of their minds with booze and beer.
For lunch, they’d order four shots and four beers - no food, not even a 25¢ bag of chips. The shop steward scum never worked, not for a minute.
And they were bloody wimps, couldn’t handle themselves in a simple bar brawl. When fists started swinging and bottles were flying, they would crawl under a bar table and fall asleep.
That is what gave us Obamacare. Just one more establishment Republican or "RINO" in the Senate and Obamacare never would have become law.
If the "principled" posters here have their way and Democrats end up controlling the Senate because someone like Roberts loses in Kansas, Harry Reid and the Democrats will continue to pack the courts with liberal justices with lifetime appointments using the nuclear option to do it.
That "principled" idiocy gave us Obamacare in 2010. Every "establishment" Republican voted against it. Just one more "establishment" type and Obamacare never would have become law.
That mentality gave us a second term of Obama instead of Mitt Romney. That has resulted in a President unable or unwilling to defend the nation from Muslim apes and open borders and, ultimately, possibly another 9/11.
REMEMBER OBAMACARE when you pondering allowing Democrats to win elections.
Any data that disagrees with your speculation will not be accepted...OK, I won't send you any, and you can write any myth you want to believe.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion based on whichever set of facts support their position.
It's not speculation.
It's 4th grade mathematics.
You can prove me wrong in 10 minutes.
Or - maybe you can't.
It's not “any data.”
It's the final data from the FEC and NEP, published months after the election.
Everyone who gets upset with my numbers does the same thing - they send me political commentary based on numbers from the day after the election.
Why?
Those are preliminary numbers and estimates that go through months of revision.
Re: “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion based on whichever set of facts support their position.”
Speak for yourself.
When I sat down and did the math, I was actually searching for an answer to a completely different question:
What would the final popular vote in 2012 have been if EVERY eligible voter in America had voted?
Half way into the numbers I realized that the “Conservatives stayed home” excuse used by so many Freepers was completely false.
By the way, you will not like the other number I came up with, either.
Obama beat Romney by 3.9% in 2012.
If every eligible voter in the country had voted, Obama would have won by 4.1%.
Nationally, the Democrats can beat us ANY time they want.
All they need to do is turn out their voters at the same rate we turn out our voters.
But that makes conservative sheeple sad. /sarc
