What came along in the aftermath was something totally different.
I hate to say it but Mark does what hen accuses the left of doing when he promotes Lincoln. What Lincoln said and what Lincoln did is what matters. Mark’s “history” of the Civil War is shallow, one-sided and blind to the realities of that time. Lincoln was a railroad lawyer. Use your imagination but keep it reasonable.
