So Obama and Biden are hosting some kind of forum on campus rape today.
Sounds like a good thing; no one will argue against rape prevention. But do the President and VP need to get involved, when they’ve got other more pressing matters to attend to?
It’s all part of the “War on Women” campaign for the midterms. So is this domestic violence thing in the NFL.
I don't mind a little discussion about the new iPhone 6 and tech stuff. At least I'll learn something new.
I'm just appalled that Rush has wasted SO much time this week (and last week, as I remember) talking non-stop about the NFL and domestic violence. He spent at least 80% of yesterday's show on it. 99% of Wednesday's show on the NFL and domestic violence (he did mumble something about ISIS during the last 30 seconds of Wednesday's show).
I didn't hear Monday's show, but I remember he spent much of Tuesday's show on the NFL, etc. as well. Give it a rest, Rush! What happened to your famous show prep and 'stack of stuff'??
I love Rush, and have nothing against the NFL. But Rush's obvious first love is no longer politics... it's football. Tech stuff is probably #2, I don't know. I know it's not politics anymore.
Rush has definitely checked out lately, and it's insulting to tune in daily to hear yet another mailed-in show, where Rush endlessly rants on about the NFL, Roger Goodell and domestic violence. Enough already.
Have a good day. I've got to run...
I know, I know... I hear about it every day - ad nauseam - on Rush's show... :-(
Hey, he's off the subject for a few minutes, talking about the Alibaba IPO. I'm actually learning something new from Rush for a change...
We’re all frustrated with it.
Alibaba and Ali express are were all the cheap phone chargers in the Quicky Marts come from.
Let me tell you about my “Christmas Morning” experience with Apple.
My 5-1/2 year old MacBook Pro suddenly wouldn’t power up. I took it to my local Apple Authorized dealer who told me the logic board was toast and the only option for repair was to send it to Apple in Memphis for a flat rate of $408. I accepted and they sent the unit out on a Tuesday and I had it back, fully functioning, on Thursday. So far, so good.
The paperwork said they changed the logic board, battery and LCD display and that parts and service were warranted for 90 days.
Exactly 57 days later the computer died again. I returned it to the local dealer again. After waiting a few days for a diagnoses I was told the unit needed to go back to Apple in Memphis. I said OK and waited for notification taht my repaired device was ready. It didn’t come.
Instead I was notified that Apple refused to accept the unit because it was over 5 years old and was therefore classified as a “vintage” unit that they would no longer repair or provide parts for.
I argued that the unit was already over 5 years old when they did the original repair and took my money and that I had a warranty regardless. My local guy said that all that was true but after having escalated the matter as far as they could within Apple I was still S.O.L.
My local dealer is resolving the issue at no additional expense to me by having the unit repaired at a 3rd party service in Mass. that is capable of making repairs down to the component level.
I just got word that the computer is in transit back from MA and should arrive Saturday or Monday. It has been out of my hands now for over eight weeks.
I have bought my very last Apple device. They can go to Hell.
PS: This unit has been a lemon from the start.
It was also repaired 3 times during the initial 3 year extended warranty period. Battery (overheating and swollen), cooling fan and hard drive.
My 10 yo Dell desktop and 8 yo Gateway laptop are going strong with only the Dell monitor, a couple hard drives and
a couple of laptop batteries.
Sure does not sound like it is worth the price.
Customer service sucks every where now.
It’s the NEW Service industry.
Jerk people around until they give up.
I bought one of those chargers at a flea market, and my phone rejected it after a couple of weeks. They’re worthless.
Glad to know I'm not as in the minority as I thought. I love Rush, but his shows lately have been a near-complete waste of time.
The November elections are coming up... I'm really eager to hear Rush's take on some of these races, especially the Senate races, which may not be the slam-dunk for the GOP as previously thought.
But Rush stated yesterday that he had no interest in discussing the November races because "he's heard nothing new from the Republicans". Then he went right back to ranting about the NFL and domestic violence. GRR!
I hope Rush and/or his staffers read our daily threads...
Come on down to the tent. We got world class service
Yep
they do
Some of it is crap and some of it is OK.
China has poor industry standards.
Chargers? Enouh with the football talk! /s
As to Alicrappa, what moron invests in a Communist Chinese company?
Sure, it makes a profit for a few years, but then, the commies decide all profits belong to the collective.
Love the description for this item under “Car Maker”
Put this $16 POS in your Maybach!
The description says night vision. I don’t see any description beyond that. If it is real night vision, it would make coon hunting a lot easier.
Lot of Chinese millionaires spending lots of money.
Does make you wonder what the Chinese income tax rate is.
