Maybe the NFL (which I boycott) and their sponsors are susceptible to federal heat because the NFL is set up as a non profit. They make billions of dollars profit and don’t pay taxes.

Not that it matters anymore, but let me check the playbook: the interstate commerce clause, the taxing power, the general welfare clause, the 14th amendment, police powers, eminent domain, executive privilege, emergency powers, war powers, plenary power, power-power, “Because I said so,” and so on.
