Interesting, but I don't think there are enough leftwing wackos in the country to motivate that can overcome a combination of blue dog democrats, moderates and conservatives - the Reagan coalition.

Conservatives and blue dog democrats - the same folks the GOPe cannot seem to motivate with their milquetoast candidates and milquetoast agenda.

An unapologetically conservative platform would blow away the field, its that simple. But the idiots in Rove's GOPe think they can win with 'at least we're not them'.

Catalyst can’t hide the voting records of Dems bent on distraction of these United States. Or get rid of Rino’s ruining the Republican party.

Yet a functioning website for Obamacare was impossible to build.

Wow. Just wow.

The only Republican who gives ANY evidence of being alert and bright enough to comprehend this is Cruz.

He shows no signs yet of making the fundamental blunder of “going for the moderates.”

Who believes the 2010 Census information did not get assimilated into this database?

I worked on that census as a recruiting supervisor. You bet you’re sweet bippy it did. My direct supervisor couldn’t have been more pro-Obama if her name was Axelrod.

Very interesting. It seems as though I remember a democrat talking about a computer system they were employing that was nicknamed “The Beast.” It may have been Maxine Waters who let it slip, but I do remember the person saying that it was more powerful than any other database. Or something like that.

This is SkyNet.

We don’t need another Ronald Reagan. We need John Connor.

Some things shouldn’t be done. This falls into that category. This isn’t a simple political tool: it’s a tool of Leftist Revolution.

I think this is another “the bad guys are 10 feet tall” analysis.

Look, I do not doubt the left is organized as hell.

Right after the 2012 election there was a detailed analysis of what went wrong with Romney’s database mining on election day...it hadn’t been thoroughly tested and began to break down...there were no firewalls, etc.

That being said, and while acknowledging the left is soooo anxious to destroy liberty that the kooks who are part of that bankrupt ideology will sacrifice for it, I still do not buy the fact that they’re unbeatable.

If this Catalist was such a monster, why where there historic gains across the board in 2010...not just nationally, but also in state and local elections?

A multiple number of things went wrong in 2012. The ship can be righted, though.

A repentant nation would be a good start.

That’s not the way to win a cyber war. The GOP is just plain stupid to stick to outmoded and disproven methods. Whether you like it or not, this is the way the new game is played. Funny how the supposed party of capitalism disdains the modern tools of capitalism and politics.

Big data is here, and market forces work the same way. It’s easier to sell to someone who is already ideologically aligned than try to win a moderate. In marketing, a conversion (someone who renews or repurchases) is worth 100 new customers.

The sad thing is that the Republican base is much larger than the Democrats, but the Roves and Rockefellers would rather make their consultant money than win.

We need a Reagan who is plugged in and capable of utilizing social media and big data...

PS: There are plenty of conservative programmers and engineers put there and they know a little about consulting, contracting and excess taxation.

The truth is that Mitt Romney was a bad candidate.

Republicans in most of the country abhor liberal Republicans from New England, because they know they are not conservatives, and are almost not Republicans, but just liberal Democrats surrounded by extreme left Democrats.

This is why the Bush family tries very hard to pretend to not have roots in New England.

But Romney’s brand of Republicanism was “socially” liberal and so in the pocket of big business, including foreign multinational corporations, that actual Americans were low on the totem pole of his constituents.

As far as the current Republican party leadership, they only want to present two choices for president, Romney and Jeb Bush. They will fight to keep any conservative from getting the nomination, to the point that they would support Hillary before they would back any conservative.

It wasn’t in place in 2010. They were still gathering data.

Lotta stuff now makes sense. The nosey GPS-equipped Obama canvassers ok 2008. The running the 2010 census out of the White House. Weird outreach attempts I’ve been subject to since 2012 (I routinely lie to pollsters to have fun and mess up their numbers. I’m guessing a lot of them weren’t really polling but doing data sweeps.)

I don’t think that this is a 10 foot tall enemy situation. I’m
Being a realist: the core of American political stability for the last few generations has been the requirement to appeal to the political center in order to win. If thats now gone, with the result being that the country is being frogmarched to the Left by a revolutionary political minority there will be s backlash (equal and opposite reaction). And it won’t end well.

At all.

Exactly, this only works when you have McRomney suppressing the conservative vote.
