The tribes of Ham, Shem, and Japeth . . . all descended from Noah. As I understand, Ham is the father of the negroid race, Shem of the caucasian race and Japeth of the Asian race.

There is, however, so many thousand years of interbreeding that clear distinctions are no longer possible.

Yes, but it still goes back to three main tribes. It is no surprise Europeans would find three unique DNA patterns. Negroid, mongoloid, and caucasian.
