What are some of the big ideas? The last threshold, or big unit of study, is the modern age, that is, when pre-historic man first appears and later comes to dominate the world. It ends with the voice-over narrator warning viewers: At present, we can see both dangerous trends, such as global warming and the continued existence of nuclear weapons, as well as positive trends, such as increased collaboration in dealing with climate change, a slowing in population growth, and an acceleration in our knowledge about the biosphere.

While it would be nice to be hugely wealthy, the down to this is your utter detachment from reality.
Like Gore, he sees a potential huge profit in all of this glo-bull.
He should be doing something about the next big real global catastrophe in the making - ebola.
I guess Breitbart forgot to copyright “Big History.”
All rich liberals love population control efforts. The overcrowded slums of Rio or Mexico City or India look even worse in light of the fact that Ted Turner owns enough land to fit the entire state of Rhode Island - three times!
If we could get the global population down from six billion to something more manageable, like six million, the rich wouldn't be such outliers.
Go Figure.
Common Core - the most destructive propaganda directive to America’s education system, bankrolled by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The Bible puts it all into perspective:
Matthew 16:26-28 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. 28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.
Mark 8:334-38
If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever would save his life4 will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? 37 For what can a man give in return for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Luke 9:25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?
Note to Bill gates:
“What happened to your brain?
It seems like you were a fairly bright guy at some point. You had some amazing computer skills.
Now you’re putting yourself into the Dullard Penalty Box by pretending that you believe in the Global Warming Scam.
Final Question:
If you’re so rich, how come you’re not smart?”
Gates wants only a few of the elites to enjoy the world:
“Stating that the global population was heading towards 9 billion, Gates said, If we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services (abortion), we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 per cent.

I think(?) that when “they” get to a certain point of “richness” “they” convince themselves that since “they” have so much money “they” must be smart or else “they” wouldn’t be rich. Not so super sophisticated after all eh?
Well crap billy boy, just jump start eugenics again. You got the money so do it. Just like the elites did the last time around. THEY will decide who’s worth keeping around.
Shades of 1930’s Germany...

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Does Not Fund Abortion, Melinda Reveals

I took that announcement to mean they’ve discovered a far more economical way to reduce population. Abortion just wasn’t economically attractive in comparison with the new method.
