When I was 10 years old I spent a full year on the 10th floor of a children’s hospital. It seemed that everybody but me, my mom and Jesus knew I was going to die.
The Harlem Globetrotters came to visit us kids. They made us laugh and feel a little better, if only for a short time. I didn’t know back then that I was supposed to be a racist and that Black people hated me.
That was about 55 extra and wonderful years ago. If I were in the same shape today and that Black cow were to visit me, I would be certain that she was the Grim Reaper and had come to take me to Hell.
When I was fresh out of high school I worked as a nurse’s aid on a pediatric ward full time as I went to college part time. I took care of many kids with cancer, heart problems etc. We would take care of them before they went on to another facility. I gotta tell you that little kids who are facing death square in the face learn wisdom that most people never learn in their entire lifetime. I would like to know what some of these kids really thought of her as she was bloviating about her “hard” life.
