When we were kids, we called em “feelers” and Im guessing that moth wants to reach out and feel something ;-)

LOL! Usually the ‘feelers’ or antennae, are on the other (head) end. Those things are coming out of its rearend. I used to collect butterflies and moths; never seen those extendable things before.
